Getting to know each other

We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at Connection Pointe a great one!

When and Where are the services?

We meet at the same time and same place, 4325 Harrisburg Pike, Grove City, Ohio.

What should I wear?

There is no dress code for attending services at CP. Some attenders dress casually and some dress up—it’s all good! You are free to come exactly as you are, so wear whatever you are most comfortable in.

What happens when I arrive?

When you arrive at a service at CP, you will be greeted with a friendly smile while walking into our lobby. Make sure you step up to our Welcome Center to receive a free gift just for checking us out. Then if you have kids our greeter will take you back to where you can check your kids into our kids’ ministry, GC Kids. There will be a 5 minute countdown, which leads to a video announcement to let you know that service has began, so you can be sure to get your seat.

What is service like?

In total, a Connection Pointe service is about 1 hour and 45 minutes in length.

We usually start our experiences with a few announcements about what’s happening at our church through video and/or live communicators. Then a short welcome to everyone there followed by a Scripture Reading and Prayer. Then our Worship team will lead the church in a song of Praise and Worship - song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After one song we continue our worship through a time of giving, during this time we encourage everyone to greet one another. The Worship Team then continue with a few more songs which flows right into the weekend message. Most weekends, our Lead Pastor, Randy Barr will preach. Then our services close with a time to respond to God in both worship and prayer.

What about my kids?

Our GC Kids ministry provides an amazing experience at every service. Visit the GC Kids check-in area where our team will register your children. Please let us know if your child has any allergies or special requirements during the check-in time. If we need to contact you during service, you will receive a text at the number you provided during the initial registration process. At the end of the service, simply come and pick up your child from your child's classroom and your child will be released to you.
